7 DAYS 6 NIGHTS EASTERN TURKEY TOUR

 

1.DAY: Diyarbakir – Mardin
Meeting with the guide at the airport and transfer to the city center. After Panoramic Diyarbakir city tour drive to Mardin. Check in to our hotel. Overnight in Mardin.

2.Day: Mardin – Urfa
After breakfast, depart from the hotel, start Mardin city tour. Mardin is very unique with lovely old-Arabic style houses. It is a city that played an important role in the early development of Christianity. We take time to visit, walk through its busy streets and bazaars, and admire the stonework all around the town. We also visit the Monastery of Deyr-az-Zaferan just outside the town, founded in 762 A.D. It was the seat of the Syrian Orthodox Patriarch for almost 800 years. This monastery was built on top of a 4000-year-old temple used by sun worshippers. Overnight in Urfa.

3.Day: Urfa – City Tour
After breakfast, departure from the hotel beginning the Urfa city tour. Urfa is the birthplace of the prophet Abraham. Urfa has been occupied since the Babylonians followed by the Hurrites, Hittites, Assyrians, Greeks. We also visit the holy sites around Ainzelha, a lake with various of domesticated fish. While in Urfa we shop at the bustling covered bazaar as well. There are exceptional photo opportunities in this area. Overnight in Urfa.

4.Day: Urfa – Mount Nemrut – Kahta
After breakfast departure from Urfa,and within a two-hours drive arrival to Adiyaman-Kahta. This extraordinary landmark rests at an elevation of 8000 ft. The mountain top complex is composed of two flattened areas strewn with statues and separated by a false peak of crushed rock. Antiouchus built the entire complex approximately 2000 years ago as a monument to his “divine ancestry.” After watching sunset and exploring the mountain, we make our way to Kahta for the night. Overnight in Kahta.

5.Day: Kahta – Gaziantep
After breakfast, drive to Gaziantep, home of the famous Turkish dessert Baklava. Visit the archaeological museum and explore the old city on foot. Visit to Gobeklitepe- considered as a place where the history of human being’s destiny is determined. Overnight in Gaziantep.

6.Day: Gazizantep – Adana – Tarsus
After early breakfast moving forwad to Adana, begining our tour with the museum of Archeology, the 16th Century Ulu Mosque and the 19th century Clock Tower heading on to Tarsus through Cleopatra Door and Seven Sleepers’ Cave. Overnight in Tarsus .

7.Day: Tarsus
After breakfast check out from the hotel. Transfer to the airport hoping to welcome you again on another excursion.
