1.DAY Beirut - Trablussam

After having a nice breakfast at the hotel and meeting with the guide, our half day panaromic city tour of Solider with elegant cafes,restaurants,shopping malls and famous trademarks resembling Paris streets begins.The Highlights of the tour are the Ottoman Clock Tower,Pigeon Cliffs,Mecidiye Mosque,Omer Mosque,United Nations, ancient Greek Orthodox and Catholic churches.

We have a free time after we see the trace of the Phoenicians at Beirut Museum.After the free time we move on to Trablussam the center of Lebanese Simal and the second biggest city. Upon arrival in Trablussam, Ottoman train stations,Mina Coast,Tripoli Castle,Tripoli Bazaar,madrasahs,Abdurrahman Halab sweet shop,Tripoli back streets,Soap Inns,Tailors’ Inn are the major sightseeing.After we finish our Trablussam tour, we go back to Beirut for dinner and overnight.

2.DAY Beirut City Tour – Beidettine Palace- Deir El Kamar

After the breakfast at the hotel ,we have a free time till noon and you can enjoy shopping in the meanwhile. We set off just after Friday Praying to visit Beidettine Palace.The Palace which was built by Emir Beshir was inspired from Ottoman architecture . Afterwards we are visiting Deir El Kamar village. Lebanese village which was once the capital of Mount Lebanon is full of ancient mosques and churches. After visiting this village having many well-protected ancient buildings and very good examples of Lebanese architechtural style, we are heading back to Beirut for dinner and overnight.

3.DAY Jeita – Biblos – Harissa

After a nice breakfast at the hotel we set off for Jeita, Biblos and Harissa tour. Jeita shaped by karst has two caves which are called up and down. We start our visit by a cable car up to the cave from the parking lot. The upper cave that was discovered in 1958 is 2200 m length the 750 m2 of which is open for visitors for a walk. The lower cave’s discovery dates back to 1836 although hosted people of pre historical era. The excursion in the lower cave is carried out by motorboats. Walking down from the caves or travelling by mini trains, we set off for Harissa by coaches. After a- 20- minute drive ,we arrive in Jounie which is a suburb district and neighbouring to Beirut. Depending on the weather conditions, we climb up to Harissa located at an altitude of 650m by two different cable cars. The Blessed Mary Statue which was set up on a small church in 1908 and weighs 15 tons meets us on the hill. Then we go down from the hill and arrive in Byblos which is located on the coast of ancient Phoenician Harbour city after a 25 minute drive. The history of the city is not known exactly but the scientist estimates, it dates back to 7000 ago. Byblos was a city, dominating the trade of papyrus in the region due to the developed commercial and cultural relations with Egypt. Having completed our tour we go back to Beirut for dinner and overnight.

4.DAY Beirut – Baalbek

After the breakfast, we check out of the hotel and go to Baalbeck which is 2 hours away (90km) from Beirut and located in Bekaa Valley behind Lebanon Mountains and whose history dates back to 9000 years ago. Baalbeck also known as Heliopolis that’s is the biggest religious center constructed after Rome to show the magnificence of the empire experiencing the golden era until Rome Emperor Constantin accepted Christianity in the 4th century. There are three temples devoted to Venus,Jupiter and Bacchus. It is the best protected Roman temple so far. Jupiter temple which was built on 84 Corinthian style columns was ruined in time and only six of the columns survived up to date. Eight of the columns were used to build St.Sophia completed between the years 532 -537. Along Bekaa Valley trip we reach ancient Anjar Town and start the sightseeing. When Anjar tour is done, we go back to Beirut and have dinner in a local restaurant following free time.
